Summer time is here . . . how do we beat the on again / off again sales. This is a great time of year to restructure your business. Here are some things to combat the slow season.
- Go after old customers and make them new again.
- Send emails to all of these customers assuring them that you can meet their individual needs - advertising is essential.
- Advertise on myspace.com or other venues that can attract business to your site.
- Good time to start marketing items that are "hot" in the summer; cameras, swim suits, vacation apparel, luggage, camping products etc.
- Start generating new ideas for your winter business. Create the database for mass emails. Use this slow time to your advantage by organizing for the future hustle and bustle.
- Be creative with your listings always utilizing key words to promote your product inventory.
- This is a good time to rejuvenate - take a vacation yourself. Remember, you must always pay yourself first and this is one of those ways to enjoy the benefits of your hard work.
- Planning, planning, planning . . . find new leads or new companies to help increase your revenue.
- Look at new opportunities for the summer season. Expand your business opportunities in all areas - diversity is important to your overall monetary success.
- Continue to keep it fun and simple. This will certainly get you through the slow down. If you are creative and persistent in your business ways, you will most definitely make up the difference in money not coming in.
Whatever the case, every season has its issues. Summertime is no different. The beauty however, is that if you remain focused and have the desire nothing is out of your reach. Again, look at this time period as rejuvenation in your business practices.
