There is no central licensing agency for the various business or professional licenses you require in Alabama. Be sure to contact your local government if you require additional information and ensure that you comply with all requirements in obtaining your Alabama Business License.
All Businesses:
- Contact the Internal Revenue Service (1-800-829-1040) to determine if you need a Federal Employer's Identification Number and request your w-4, SS-4, Circular E and Publication 334 forms.
- Contact the Alabama Department of Revenue's Taxpayer Service Center (334-242-1000) to determine which state laws apply to you and complete your State Tax Estimated Income forms.
