Dealing with questions from customers can be a full-time job. Here are some easy steps to remember when answering any kind of question.
- Answer Quickly and Precisely - Even if you don't have the answer at that moment, respond to the customer by telling them that you will get back to them shortly after you research their question.
- Do Your Research - Answering precisely means doing your research. Give them exactly what they want, honesty. Even if it is not what they want to hear.
- Be Respectful - Always treat the customer with respect even if there is a dispute regarding a sale. Make sure that you've documented the transaction so that neither party has anything to question.
- No Empty Promises - If you can not fulfill a customer’s request, simply and quickly state that fact. Nothing could be worse than an empty promise.
- Don't Forget - Last but not least follow the auction sites rules and guidelines. This will keep you out of trouble with the people who are supporting your business. Obviously, this goes both ways.
